WHAT TO EXPECT
Your First Steps Toward
Structured, Sustainable Health.
Starting nutrition support can feel like a big step, especially if you've already tried multiple approaches in the past.
Many people arrive at Fast Forward Nutrition feeling unsure about what will happen during a consultation or worried that they will be judged for their past attempts.
Every consultation is designed to provide clarity, structure, and calm guidance, helping you understand what is happening in your body and what steps will move you forward.
YOUR JOURNEY
This page outlines what typically happens when you begin working with Fast Forward Nutrition.
A Discovery
Conversation
Many clients choose to begin with a complimentary Discovery Call.
This short 15-minute conversation allows you to briefly discuss your situation, ask questions about the process, and determine whether Fast Forward Nutrition is the right fit for your needs.
There is no pressure to commit during this call. It simply provides an opportunity to clarify the next step. Some people book an Initial Consultation immediately, while others prefer to speak first. Both options are completely acceptable.
STEP ONE
STEP TWO
Completing
Your Intake
Before your first consultation, you will be asked to complete an online intake form.
Completing this form in advance allows the consultation itself to focus on meaningful discussion and strategy development rather than basic information gathering. It also helps ensure that your consultation time is used efficiently.
THIS FORM COVERS
Your health history
Current lifestyle patterns
Dietary habits
Sleep and stress levels
Medications or supplements
Your personal goals
WHY IT MATTERS
Maximises your 60-minute consultation time
Allows deeper, more meaningful discussion
Ensures strategy is built on full context
Completed at your own pace before the appointment
STEP THREE
Your Initial
Consultation
Your Initial Consultation is a 60-minute comprehensive nutrition assessment.
During this session we explore the factors that may be influencing your current health presentation. This often includes reviewing dietary structure, lifestyle demands, sleep quality, stress patterns, and appetite regulation.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, the aim is to understand the drivers behind those symptoms. Many clients find this part of the process reassuring because it helps explain why previous strategies may not have worked
By the end of the consultation, we establish a clear and realistic strategy that may include dietary structure adjustments, meal timing guidance, lifestyle changes, behaviour change strategies, and nutraceutical support where clinically appropriate. The focus is on identifying the most meaningful changes to begin with — not overwhelming you with information.
STEP FOUR
Implementation
and Support
Once your strategy is established, the next phase involves putting those changes into practice. This is where most meaningful progress occurs.
Follow-up consultations provide an opportunity to review how your body is responding, address challenges, and refine your strategy where necessary. Some clients choose occasional follow-up sessions, while others benefit from structured support pathways that provide accountability over several months.
These pathways combine consultations with check-ins and dietary review to help bridge the gap between understanding what to do and consistently doing it.
Structured Pathway
for Extended Support
For those who benefit from longer-term accountability, structured pathways of 3, 6, or 12 months are available. These are discussed at your initial consultation and recommended only where appropriate for your metabolic needs and lifestyle.
Pathways are designed to progress you toward independence — not to create reliance on ongoing check-ins. Support is gradually tapered as your confidence and capability grow.
STEP FIVE
WHAT PROGRESS LOOKS LIKE
Every person's journey is
different.
Most clients begin to notice gradual changes within the first several weeks. The goal is not perfection. The goal is steady, sustainable progress built through consistent action.
Common early improvements may include:
More stable daily energy
Reduced reliance on caffeine
Improved appetite regulation
Fewer evening cravings
Clearer understanding of how their body responds to food and lifestyle habits
Over time — improvements in body composition, sleep quality, and overall confidence managing health
"Many clients describe moving from self-doubt to self-trust. Instead of feeling controlled by their metabolism, they begin to understand it."
The end goal is not just weight reduction or improved health markers.
The end goal is feeling capable of maintaining your health without constant guesswork.
A CALM AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
You don't need to arrive
perfectly prepared.
Many people feel hesitant about seeking support because they worry they will be judged for past attempts or mistakes.
At Fast Forward Nutrition, consultations are conducted in a respectful, non-judgemental environment.
Health behaviours are influenced by many factors including stress, lifestyle demands, and physiology. The purpose of our work together is to understand those influences and develop strategies that work within your real life.
You simply need to be open to learning and making gradual changes.
